May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month

Anytime I hear anything about supporting physical fitness my ears always prick up.   Anything that gets people moving and off of their butts is nothing but positive. I'm so tired of TV ads, articles, etc. that make you believe that being lazy is acceptable. It's NOT. EVER.  EVER!

Yes, I use to be lazy.  Then one day I woke up and learned that change will only come if I get off my ass and take charge of my health.  So as you know I started with Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD and changed my diet.  I lost 20 lbs before getting pregnant, and I'm so proud of myself.  I'll get off my soapbox now ;)


The Health, Beauty, Children and Family blog are also big supporters of physical fitness, and along with GNC they are giving away a $100 GC to GNC.  How awesome is that?

Exergen Temporal Scanner

Earlier today I was researching a good temporal thermometer to get before baby arrives, and I came across a great giveaway for the Exergen Temporal Scanner at Jumpin Beans. 

I love this particular thermometer as it gives results in just 2 seconds, and it also comes with a battery.  Buying all of these baby things, I'm learning that you need to buy batteries for EVERYTHING.  So when I see something that actually comes with one I get a little giddy. Halo Sleepsack Giveaway

Friday Findings...

Remember the Arm & Hammer Munchkin Diaper Pail that I posted about the other day?...I WON IT!  Yay me! Oh my gosh!  I can't believe I have won a breast pump AND an awesome diaper pail all in the same week!  I feel so blessed and lucky.  I'm still in total shock!

I Interrupt This Blog to Vent about BACON!

I was at Albertson's this afternoon, and had a craving for my wonderful homemade crepes for dinner.  So while I was there I picked up (what I thought was) a nice package of bacon that looked nice and meaty.

When I opened the package of bacon much to my surprise the only meat was at the very edge of the piece (of course the part visible on the package) and the rest was all fat.  Even more annoying was that it was only sliced at the meat edges and the rest was a big 'ol hunk 'o FAT!  Ick. Ick.....and ICK!

Such deceptive bacon packaging!  Hubby asked about the bacon and I said "Oh don't even ask!" lol
